Pirates erupt for season-high 111 points in CVC rout in Lemoore

It was a night of season highs for the Porterville College men's basketball team on Wednesday. The Pirates extended their season-long winning streak to three games after blowing out host West Hills College Lemoore by a final score of 111-51 in a Central Valley Conference game.

Porterville improved to 7-6 overall and is 2-0 in CVC action.

The 111 points easily surpassed PC's previous high of 96 points in a game this season. Porterville made 47 field goals, another season-best, on its way to 66 percent shooting from the floor (47 for 71).

The Pirates roared out to a 52-26 lead at halftime and didn't let up in the second, outscoring West Hills 59-24.

Seven of the 10 Pirates that saw action in the game scored in double figures. Treager Wallace led the way with 20 points, just one point shy of his season high. He also grabbed 8 rebounds. Elijah Cardenas had a big game off the bench with 17 points while Da'Morea Green had 14 points.

Dominic King posted a double-double, scoring 13 points while dishing out 11 assists. Darion "DJ" Wilson and Germaine Caldwell Jr. both scored 12 points and Tayshawun Bradford chipped in with 11 points.

Porterville will look to continue its winning momentum on Saturday (Jan. 12) at 6 p.m. when the Pirates host College of the Sequoias in a Central Valley Conference game.
