First, due to poor field conditions, the second game of their Central Valley Conference series with Reedley College was moved from Pirate Stadium to Reedley. And with Reedley as the official visitor, the Tigers put up eight runs in the top of the first inning on their way to an 18-1 victory over the Pirates.

    Porterville College’s bats appeared ready for its three-game, season-opening series at home against Lassen College as the Pirates totaled 24 hits. Unfortunately, PC’s pitching had a rough time keeping Lassen’s offense in check and Porterville was wept over the weekend by a combined score of 36-9.
