Pirates rally for 81-70 conference win over Reedley

Elijah Cardenas came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points to help lead Porterville College to an 81-70 come-from-behind win over visiting Reedley College on Wednesday in a Central Valley Conference game.

PC's second straight victory improved the Pirates to 11-9 overall and 6-3 in conference play.

Porterville trailed 45-34 at halftime before pulling ahead midway through the second. The Pirates held the Tigers to just 25 points over the final 20 minutes to secure the win.

Five Pirates scored in double figures. Da'Morea Green totaled 15 points and 7 rebounds, Tayshawun Bradford scored 14 points, Darion "DJ" Wilson had 12, and Treager Wallace added 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Dominic King also contributed to the win with a game-high 9 rebounds and 7 assists.

Porterville currently sits in fourth place in the CVC standings, just a game back of Columbia College and College of the Sequoias in a second-place tie at 7-2. PC returns to action on Monday (Feb. 4) when the Pirates host West Hills College Lemoore in a 5 p.m. conference game.
