Third baseman Chelsea Ramos and designated player Angel Geston were named first-team All-Central Valley Conference at the CVC postseason coaches meeting on Thursday. The freshmen duo highlight a list of six Pirates that earned all-conference honors. Shortstop Shantae Gutierrez was a second-team selection while first baseman Emma Poll, outfielder Alexis Lafarga, and pitcher Alexis Rodriguez were all named honorable mention.

Ramos and Geston created an impressive one-two punch for the Pirates' offense this season, as both put up amazing numbers.

Over 21 conference games, Ramos ranked among the CVC's top five in batting average (.478, 4th), hits (32, 3rd), home runs (5, t-3rd), RBI (21, 5th), slugging percentage (.851, 5th), runs (25, t-4th), doubles (8, t-2nd), and on base percentage (.545, 4th).

Geston was just as good. She led the CVC with eight home runs, 31 RBI, and a .946 slugging percentage while her .464 batting average ranked sixth. Geston totaled 26 hits over 21 CVC games and struck out just twice.

Gutierrez had a solid season in conference play, hitting .347 over 21 games with 26 hits, 20 runs, and 10 RBI.

Poll was excellent at first base for the Pirates, committing just five errors over 122 total chances. She hit .356 in CVC games and totaled 21 hits, and 12 RBI. Lafarga was also a defensive standout while collecting nine hits. Rodriguez was PC's top pitcher in the circle as she compiled a 5-4 record with a 3.81 ERA. She tossed six complete games and totaled 40 strikeouts.

Porterville closed the regular season with an 18-19 overall record and finished fifth in the CVC at 10-11.
