The Porterville College women's basketball team wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a pair of tough losses at the DeAnza College - Mike Gervasoni Memorial Classic. On Wednesday, PC fell to host DeAnza and closed out with a lost to Cosumnes River 81-67 on Thursday.

Porterville is now 3-11 overall as the Pirates head into their Central Valley Conference opener on Jan. 4 at West Hills-Lemoore College. Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.

A slow start for Porterville doomed the Pirates in the loss to DeAnza. PC trailed 21-10 after the first quarter and couldn't recover.

Denisheun Jackson paced the Pirates offense with her 10th double-double of the season as she poured in 18 points and 10 rebounds. Lauren Beath scored 15 points to go with five rebounds while Marisol Cerda chipped in with 10 points.
