Women's Volleyball: Offense tough to come by in 3-0 Porterville loss to Columbia

It's tough to win matches when your attempts result in more errors than kills. That's what Porterville College likely learned in its 3-0 home loss to Columbia College on Friday night.

Unable to put together much offensively, PC loss the Central Valley Conference match by scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-15 to fall to 2-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play.

The Pirates totaled just 17 kills as a team but committed 19 hitting errors on 75 attempts. Emerald Harris led Porterville with four kills with Ashlynn Miller, Brooklynne Beavers, and Emily Baeza all totalling three kills each.

Miller led PC with 16 digs while Brooke Reilly had 16 assists.

Porterville will look to snap its eight-match losing streak when the Pirates return to action next Friday (Oct. 6) when they travel to Taft College for a 6 p.m. CVC contest.
