Following the close of the 2023-24 season, three members of the Porterville College men's basketball team were honored with All-Central Valley Conference postseason awards.
Leading the way was guard Akeives Shorts. The sophomore originally out of Troy, Ala. Earned first-team All-CVC honors. He was the Pirates' leading scorer on the season, averaging 15.3 points per game. He also had a team-high 5.4 assists and averaged 3.7 rebounds per game.
Forward Owen Patterson was named to the CVC All-Freshman team while guard Kaleb Salazar was an All-Freshman honorable mention pick. Patterson, out of Lindsay High School, averaged 12.3 points and 7.3 rebounds while Salazar, from Monache High School, poured in 8.4 points per game.
PC closed out the season with a 9-19 overall record and went 3-11 in the Central Valley Conference under new head coach Kyle Wallace.
