Pirates excel at American River College Beaver Invite

The Porterville College men's and women's track & field teams participated in the Beaver Invite at American River College on March 1. The top performers for the Pirates were Maria Angelita Etrata, who finished second in the women's javelin throw with a mark of 28.93 m (94' 11").

Joaquin Leyva led the Porterville men as he finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 10.83 m (36' 6.5") and eighth in the discus with a throw of 34.50 m (113'2").

The Pirates are back in action on March 7 when the men and women will compete at the Allan Hancock College Henry Kirk Invitational.
