Pirates continue season at Henry Kirk Invite

The Porterville College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Henry Kirk Invite on March 8 at Allan Hancock College.  Joaquin Leyva had another good day for the Pirates, finishing third in the discus with a throw of 34.28 m (112' 5") and fourth in the shot put with a throw of 11.09 m (36' 4.75"). 

Also for the men, Isah Perez finished sixth 400 meters in 56.59 seconds.

In the women's 800 meters, the Pirates were well represented with Lizbeth Ramirez finishing fifth with a time of 2:41.65 and Liliana Hidalgo taking seventh at 2:50.40. PC was also solid in the 400 as Hidalgo finished fifth with a time of 1:09.51 and Ramirez was seventh at 1:11.04.
