Pirates sunk by conference-leading Sequoias
Coming off a narrow win over Taft College, Porterville College had a much tougher time in a 93-23 loss to Central Valley Conference-leader College of the Sequoias on Wednesday night.

Coming off a narrow win over Taft College, Porterville College had a much tougher time in a 93-23 loss to Central Valley Conference-leader College of the Sequoias on Wednesday night.
PC was down 26-4 after the first quarter and trailed 50-28 at halftime.
Raquel Gonzalez came off the bench to score a team-high 6 points for the Pirates. Kassy Cervantes and Sierra Perez added 5 points each.
Prior to the contest, Porterville honored its four sophomores – Cervantes, Ashley Campos, Perez, and Kathy Rodriguez before playing in their final home game for the Pirates.
Porterville, now 4-21 overall and 1-10 in conference play, closes out the 2018-19 season on Saturday (Feb. 23) with a 6 p.m. game at Reedley College.
