REEDLEY – Gracie Magana came up just short of a double-double with team-highs of 12 points and 9 rebounds in Porterville College's 65-50 Central Valley Conference loss at Reedley College on Saturday.
The Pirates dropped their fourth straight and fell to 3-16 overall. PC is 1-4 in conference play.
A 37-26 halftime deficit was too much for Porterville to overcome. The Pirates outscored Reedley 13-11 in the third but couldn't complete the late-game comeback.
Davina Lopez had a solid game for PC with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Jo Cibrian provided a spark off the bench with 10 points while Greenley Wilson chipped in with 8 points and 8 rebounds.
Porterville is back in action on Wednesday (Jan. 31) when the Pirates host Taft College in a 7 p.m. Central Valley Conference game.
