Lopez, Magana, Murrietta earn All-CVC postseason honors

Following the close of the 2023-24 season, three members of the Porterville College women's basketball team were honored with All-Central Valley Conference postseason awards.

Sophomores Davina Lopez and Gracie Magana head the list for the Pirates, earning second-team All-CVC honors.

Lopez, a forward out of Porterville High School, ranked second in the conference with 13.6 rebounds per game while averaging 12.7 points per contest. Magana, a guard from Porterville High School, led PC in scoring with 14.1 points per game while averaging 4.5 rebounds.

Also for the Pirates, sophomore Assyria Murrietta was selected All-CVC honorable mention. The Porterville High School grad averaged 8.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game

PC closed out the season with a 5-21 overall record and went 3-9 in the Central Valley Conference under third-year head coach Alia Alvarez.
