Women’s Volleyball: Pirates’ slide continues with loss at Taft

Sophomore Brooklynne Beavers totaled nine kills to provide most of Porterville College's offense in a 3-0 Central Valley Conference loss at Taft College on Friday. PC dropped the match by scores of 25-9, 25-11, and 25-19 to fall to 2-11 overall and 0-7 in conference play.

It was another rough night attacking for the Pirates as they committed 23 hitting errors while combining for 18 kills in the match.

Sophomore Brooke Reilly totaled a double-double with 14 digs and 13 assists while freshman Rylee Jones also played well on defense with 14 digs.

Porterville look to snap its nine-match losing streak on Wednesday (Oct. 11) when the Pirates host Fresno City College in a 6 p.m. CVC contest.
