Pirates cruise to conference sweep of Lemoore

PORTERVILLE – Noelani Espiritu totaled 10 kills and 16 digs to help lead Porterville College to a 3-0 Central Valley Conference sweep of visiting Lemoore College on Wednesday.

The Pirates took the match by scores of 25-23, 25-17, and 26-24. They have won two of their last three matches to improve to 5-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

Espiritu had an impressive all-around match. She added 10 assists, 3 blocks, and an ace to her big night.

Aliza Bun contributed 9 kills in the win. Brandi Flores led her squad with 19 digs while Jolina Castaneda totaled 15 assists and 8 digs.

The Pirates are back in action on Friday (Oct. 4) when they host Columbia College in a 5 p.m. Central Valley Conference match.
